Dropbox for Mountain Lion

We just added support for OS X Mountain Lion to our latest version of Dropbox. Today’s release is another way that we’re making sure that Dropbox just works on all your devices — even the brand spanking newest ones!

If you’re using a Mac, we’ll be auto-updating your Dropbox over the next week so you’ll be covered if you upgrade to Mountain Lion. Or you can download the latest version of Dropbox right now.

I am using Dropbox on Mac for over one year. Everything is fine so far, but on Mountain Lion the performance is very bad. When dropbox syncs my mac nearly freezes. I have to pause syncing to work without breaks. Please analyse this performance issue. Thanks.

I have been using dropbox for years and loved it until yesterday. Then all hell broke loose. After reformatting my computer, I found I can no longer log onto my dropbox account because my email address is obsolete and they changed my password. There is NO WAY to contact dropbox except to send in a report which they say they will respond to in 1-3 BUSINESS days! That is a long time when your business relies on files in dropbox. And they don’t even have a phone number! I’ve been waiting 42 hours and have yet to hear from them. No way to treat a customer!

Dropbox is not working since I installed OSX 10.8.2. It hangs as soon as it starts running.

Since installing Mountain Lion we can no longer load the dropbox website from Safari or Firefox browsers. We have installed the latest version of dropbox but still no joy! This is across the whole company which includes 10 machines!

Dropbox hangs as soon as it starts and it’s just the spinning rainbow-circle above the dropbox icon in system menu bar but only above dropbox – no single other icon / program.
wait for an update instantly.

Replying myself:
Three months later I could all tell you that Dropbox just started to work again when I installed a new Mac OS over the old (no clean installation).
Probably something got mixed-up. Happy to have it working again right now!

Installing dropbox on my mac osx mountain lion machine causes a portion of the keyboard not to work (rtyuiop keys). I had the same issue with Google Updater. Cannot install dropbox on this machine until problem goes away. Issue started after I upgraded to 10.8.2.

driving me crazy…how do i link my dropbox widget to send files over to my dropbox folder. I drag them over and the widget wiggles and jiggles but nothing happens. New ’12 macbook air 11″ and new to dropbox. Can’t get widget to work without public folder…HELP!!!

Dropbox V1.6.16 is very slow to sync at best, often doesn’t sync. Requires restart of Mac to sync properly using OS X 10.8.2 I now resort to ‘Launch Dropbox Website’ to see files.

The same thing is happening to me. I just re-downloaded and reinstalled Dropbox today. Hopefully it will sync this time. Resorting to the “Launch Dropbox Website” isn’t giving me the speed I need in my workflow. (I’m also on OS X 10.8.2)

I’m having the same issue on my imac. I reinstalled but still nothing. It syncs some things, but not everything. But it gives the green check mark like it’s synced.
I have no problems on my macbook air (also running mountain lion) or any of my windows machines.

The blue swirlign circle recently stopped showign up on my Dropbox folder which is annoying – how do I reinstate the blue swirling circle on dropbox folder that show folders are beign uploaded?
