We’re doing even more with Samsung

We first partnered with Samsung in 2011 to bring Dropbox to millions of people around the world. It’s been great hearing stories from those of you using Dropbox on Samsung devices — from keeping your memories safe even if your phone goes for a swim, to sharing docs with coworkers halfway around the globe. Now we’re teaming up with Samsung to give you even more ways to use Dropbox on Samsung! Starting at the end of September, if you purchase select new Samsung devices — including the Galaxy Note 4 announced today — you’ll gain access to Dropbox seamlessly through core apps on Samsung devices. You’ll be able to:

Keep your memories safe

We store some of our most precious memories right on our phones. Samsung users will be offered the option to automatically back them up on Dropbox from the Gallery app — keeping them safe and viewable across devices, and allowing users to free up space on their phones. We’re thrilled new users will be introduced to Dropbox right when they need it.

Save your docs to Dropbox

Chances are you do a lot of your work during your commute or when you're away from your desk. If you’re using a new Samsung device, you'll be able to save documents directly to Dropbox from the default mobile docs viewer or editor with a single tap and work on them from anywhere.

Extending our longstanding promotion, if you purchase the Samsung Note 4 and you’re new to Dropbox, get 50 GB for 2 years when you complete the Dropbox Get Started guide. Here's what Injong Rhee, Senior Vice President of Technology Strategy, IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics, had to say about this new phase in our partnership:
“Dropbox’s focus on providing users with advanced technology for the needs of their mobile lifestyle is a perfect match for Samsung’s philosophy.  This is why we are embedding Dropbox on our Galaxy mobile devices so that the valuable data and content of users will always be nearby and easily accessible through their Samsung mobile device.”
This is another great step towards building a home for everyone’s most important information — across all devices.
