Today we’re thrilled to share that Vanessa Wittman will be joining Dropbox in March as our new CFO. Vanessa is taking the reins from Sujay Jaswa, who has been Arash’s and my right hand in building the business side of the company since he joined in 2010.
Sujay left venture capital to join Dropbox at a time when we could fit the whole company into a single conference room. It wasn’t long before he found himself building and managing all of our business teams, raising more than a billion dollars, and recruiting incredible leaders to accelerate our growth. After four wild years and with things at Dropbox in great shape, Sujay has decided to return to the world of investing, and together we found an amazing leader in Vanessa.
As our CFO, Vanessa will lead our financial operations to support our growth around the world. She joins us from Motorola Mobility, where she served as SVP and CFO following its acquisition by Google. Before Motorola, Vanessa was CFO of Marsh & McLennan and held senior roles at Microsoft and Morgan Stanley. The amazing talent and breadth of experience she brings, along with the values she shares with our leadership team, make her a perfect fit.
We’re grateful to Sujay for everything that he’s done here, and we’ll all miss him. He’ll stay on for the next few months to help with the transition and will continue to be a special advisor to Dropbox.
We all wish Sujay the best and are excited to welcome Vanessa!
