Transforming how teams collaborate

In today’s workplace, people spend 61% of their time managing work rather than doing it. That’s the equivalent of three days a week searching for information, slogging through emails, and navigating teamwork.

But what if it didn’t have to be like that? We want to bring that 61% as close to zero as possible. So we’re building products that make it easier to find the information you need, stay up to date on projects, and work more seamlessly as a team. And today, we have the first of those products and features ready for you.

A simplified—and more powerful—Dropbox experience

We’ve streamlined our website to make navigating your Dropbox easier—so you can find what you need faster. We’re also introducing a new viewer info feature that allows you to see who on your team has viewed your shared files and when. With the ability to track what happens after you click ‘Share,’ you can cut down on follow-up emails and keep projects moving forward.

We’re gradually rolling out our new web experience to all users and bringing viewer info to Dropbox Business teams through our early access program starting today. To learn more about viewer info, visit dropbox.com/features/productivity.

Grow bigger, brighter ideas with Dropbox Paper

More than a doc, Dropbox Paper is a flexible workspace that brings people and ideas together. With Paper, teams can create, review, revise, manage, and organize—all in shared documents. Since Paper first went into beta, users have created millions of Paper docs in more than 200 countries and territories. Early adopters of Paper include companies such as InVision, Ben & Jerry’s, Shopify, Campaign Monitor, Getaround, and Patreon.

Now, we’re excited to take Paper one giant leap forward by removing the beta label and introducing a slew of updates:

  • Collaborate across the globe: Paper is now available in 21 languages on the web (coming soon to mobile)
  • Keep your team on track: Moving projects along is easier than ever now that you can assign due dates when you make task lists
  • Get organized: With projects, your team’s work is organized in a single, shared place. An early preview of projects will be rolling out to select teams starting today.
  • Work from anywhere: Paper iOS and Android apps will soon give you offline access

These are just the latest in a string of improvements we’ve made to help your team get more out of Paper. They join recent additions like presentation mode—which turns docs into projector-ready slides—and a Google Calendar integration that makes creating and sharing meeting notes dead simple.
