Expanding on our partnership with Adobe, we’re introducing a new Adobe Creative Cloud integration that helps you stay in your creative flow by making it easier to find your latest Adobe XD document on Dropbox. In addition to previewing Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator files stored in Dropbox, users can now see a quick preview of files created in XD—Adobe’s latest solution for designing, prototyping, and sharing user experiences. These previews can be seen whether you’re working from dropbox.com or our mobile apps.

Adobe XD lets UX/UI designers switch from design to prototype inside the app itself. That means users can turn comps into interactive prototypes without interruption. And now with the Dropbox integration, your extended team members can easily find the designs they need to keep projects moving forward.

With the new integration, users can:

  • Share and preview XD files with any collaborator on your team from Dropbox. No matter their role on your team, your co-workers will be able to see a preview of the design’s home artboard across Dropbox on web, Android and iOS.
  • Streamline design collaboration without disrupting your workflow. Members of your extended team will also be able to use the comments and annotations features directly in Dropbox. For gathering comments and annotations on the prototypes themselves, designers can use the shared prototype features within Adobe XD.

“Adobe XD is an innovative all-in-one tool for UX designers, and we’re excited to bring the power of Dropbox, Adobe XD and Creative Cloud to our joint users,” said Daniel Wagner, Engineering Lead, Dropbox Previews. “Our goal is to unleash creative energy through an expanding partner ecosystem, and connect design tools like Adobe XD with core Dropbox mobile, web and desktop products.”

“Our aim is to make the design process more efficient with Adobe XD,” said Kate Eom, senior product manager for Adobe XD. “That’s why we’re excited to bring Dropbox native file preview to our users. Now, designers and their extended team members can preview XD from Dropbox without opening the file.”
